This great movie (Elmer Gantry) was made in 1960 and stars Burt Lancaster in his oscar winning role. Shirley Jones co-stars and she won the best supporting actress award. The movie was nominated for best picture. It also stars Jean Simmons, Dean Jagger and Arthur Kenedy. It has a great cast. It may not be suitable for younger children because Burt plays a hypocritical evangelist and he is very good in this role. It is a well made role but not very pleasant. It will be on TCM on October 28, 2007, at 7 P.M.
