Did Kville not play tonight? They played Monsignor Kelly tonight unless they scared off the Bulldogs. It was prolly a white-wash.

My boyz whupped up on a 4a team tonite. Good game guys. Kville put some points on the board. Of course Kelly might be one of the worst teams in Texas. I now think Kville has a shot against the dogs, they looking poorly right now. They will get better.

That brings us to a good question. How would Newton match up with the Strake Jesuit team Jasper lost to tonight?

Correction, www.ktre.com (http://www.ktre.com) is reporting that the Kville score was 41-13. The first score I reported came from www.kfdm1.com (http://www.kfdm1.com) . Everyone have a great night, and if you haven't checked out Comp's earlier predictions, please do. This guy is scary.

According to the Barbers Hill website, here are the 22-3A scores:

B Hill 28
Huffman 15

Liberty 27
Splendora 20

Cleveland 39
Coldspring 0

Shepherd 41
Tarkington 0

BTW, whoever runs the websites for BH and Coldspring do a bang-up job. Check 'em out for yourself:

I wish more schools had sites like these -- they really make it easy to be a fan.

Hardin came up short once again, 7-6. Coaches from Hardin should realize the importance of the "kicking game" because in situations like this one, you stand no chance. Yes for you people who are interested the game was not too thrilling but if you like to see some head smashing then you got a show. Hardin definitely hurt them physically and "numbers" wise actually beat H-J but that is not what matters when its all over with. Oh well, looks like a long year for the Hornets.

Bulldog92: I think that Newton's defense would be a little better than Jaspers. Offense-wise, we would have a better running game (5 good running backs- 4 could play for most anyone). Kicking- good punting, hard for us to kick an xp. I get the shakes just thinking about us trying a critical field goal. It's going to be an interesting district. There are a lot of mouths on this site. They don't seem to realize that you use what you learn in pre-district in district. If you don't learn it, you're in lottsa trouble. I don't think we'll be in as much trouble as some of the others. :) :D :p

It sounds to me like Jasper's defense did a great job considering the size disadvantage. Plus, they stopped Strake when it counted. Strake only had 1 touchdown and had to settle for 3 field goals. Not a bad job if you ask me. Especially against a team as big and talented as Strake. They will be playing 5A ball next year.

I will say that Jasper neads some serious work on offense. Having said that I must say that I have not seen them this year. This observation is based only on what I've heard. I do hope to see the dawgs this week since they'll be playing in the Houston area. (Smiley)

Hey BH_146, I didn't know you did the Hill's site. I agree, it's the best in our district. I REALLY liked last year when you stuck in the vid of the bad call against Bridge City (sorry Old Card). It was cool.

That brings us to a good question. How would Newton match up with the Strake Jesuit team Jasper lost to tonight? It be a good game, but unless Newton's got bigger off and def linemen than Jasper does...I think Jesuit would wear them down and win by a couple of field goals. Lots of Eagles play both ways and I don't think anyone from Jesuit did.
The common opponent is Nacogdoches. I think Jasper won by 20 and Newton won by 28.
