Hey you can go across the bridge from Port Isabel to South Padre Island and stop by the Pelican West place just south of the Raddissen Hotel. They are open Tuesday through Saturday starting at 9 P.M. They are a great band. Enjoy!

many school districts have histories of jr high teams who totally dominated and were going to be state champs when the players got to high school.
Happens sometimes, but more often than not, it doesn't.

Couldn't be more true. In La Grange our 2001 8th grade team was unstoppable, we had thought that our grade had already won state. Turns out we really didn't put too much work in in high school and ended up not nearly living up to the rep we made for ourselves in junior high.

Well, I can attest that this kid is LEGIT. (and yeah the RGV boards are kinda slow.....)

I happened to bump into this kid last time I was in Port Isabel, and let me tell you......this kid has the potential to grow into the "prototype" QB. I'm 6'1", and standing next to this kid, he has to be about 6'3" already, and he's just a Sophomore! Don't be surprised if he's about 6'5" by his senior year with college scouts checking him out. He's got the potential, he just need to put the work in and put up the numbers.

I seem to remember your Ingleside boys getting some "valley noise" a couple of years ago as Port Isabel ended their season. Ingleside took a 17-7 lead into the locker room before PI hit them with a 28 point second half and a 35-24 victory.

Hey Bull don't forget to visit Pelican West regularly across the bridge. And take friends with you. :)

They are a great band Tarpon. Whenever you go to Port Isabel for a visit be sure to cross the bridge over to South Padre Island and enjoy the band. :)

Besides...I said Reg. III, Ingleside is Reg. IV...if you'd take a gander at my location, I don't live in Ingleside and haven't for several years. :)

They're a band? All this time I've thought it was a place.

It is a place, the band owns their own bar. Opened it up a few months ago after being the house band at the Radisson for the past 10 years

It is indeed a place and the band there is great. They also encourage families to come and enjoy the music and sometimes participate. There is a curfew there for those under 21 at 10:30 P.M. Alcohol is not served to anyone under 21. The law is strickly obeyed and enforced.

The Pelican West band also gives to the community and is very active at Christian concerts in the area.
