how would you pitch to barry bonds??

if you were the starting pitcher tonight vs. the sf giants and barry bonds, how would you pitch to him, knowing that if he hits a home run, it would be to tie the record...

I would throw normal, all he is doing is popping out and I would take the out everytime.

depends on the situation when he is up to bat. If it's early in the game...no runners in scoring position...then don't be surprised if he gets a little chin music. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll charge the mound...further destroying his reputation! ;)

I chose meatballs, because lately he hasn't even looked like he could hit those, and then you save your arm for batters who can actually hit the ball.

meh, ultimately we won't remember any of them...who gave up 714 to Ruth? 715 to Aaron? 755 to Aaron? #62 to McGwire? #71 to Barry Bonds? I'm sure it's in the record books and you could look them up online, but off the top of your head, I doubt anybody knows the pitchers who give up the big ones.

What would be sweetest of all would be for him to hit one and the outfielder climb the wall make the grab attempt and his arm disappear behind the wall only seconds later to show the ball in his glove robbing Bonds. Bonds in attempt to swing that hard tears a trap. muscle completely, causing him to have to retire. I would laugh my arse off. :D
