Over at an SMU site (ponyfans.com), we are discussing the merits of a brand-new marketing campaign. The logo of this campaign is shown below. There is a slogan as well...let's see if you guys can figure it out from the logo (don't feel bad if you can't; when I first saw this on a pocket schedule I couldn't figure it out for awhile either).

So here's part 2 of the question...why would you use "Pony Up" as a slogan for an awareness campaign? I could understand if the campaign were about fundraising, but it isn't.

If you're thinking about the original context of the word you would think of money....but I like it. Kinda like cowboy up. i get it.

Well...it's SMU we are talking about...if we want to create new fans, we've got to get away from our current perception
