Yep. They already are putting down some gray powder stuff, and from there it's supposed to be done pretty quickly. It's due to be done by August 3, the company has incentive to get it done because 2 other area schools are gonna come look at it to make a decision on what company to go with on theirs.

I need to drive by and see if they started laying it down yet.

Just parts of it. They had already repaired cracks and that part had a big dip in it.

as a teacher I dont mind the uniform policy. It will be interesting when the new one opens. I dont think anyone on the current staff would want to be the head coach at the new school but I may be wrong.

They will never be what they were again. IE Permian, Dangerfield, Temple, Baytown Sterling, Willowridge (some), Henderson, Huntsville, Lubbock Estacado, Marble Falls, Port Neches-Groves ect

Growth to a point is good. managed growth is best, but its hard to manage. Most growth is not managed because of money.
Roads, utilities, traffic, over crowding ect are things that towns have to deal with long after the developer is gone.

As always divide and YOU get conqured.

SLC it would appear had a plan. But not all towns are the same. What works in Sl may not work in Forney and vice versa. All up and down I-35 you can see the effect of growth. Some good, some bad. Its tough on athletic programs. Money is tight. facilities are cramped. Schools have a hard time keeping up with the growth.

But, division causes death to most programs.

Even Plano went down for a while. But they are back up and plano West does well. Bit their HUGE numbers may help them overcome the division. Forney wont be as lucky.

uniform policy= good thing IMO. You're not at school for a fashion show. If forney doesn't have uniforms teachers still have to worry about dress code.

Athletics will never be the same after the second school is built. They're not even the same now. As an alum of FHS it took a while for me to come to grips with the notion of a second school. That changed when I actually thought about what is best for my kids.

They are from Saturday. I think all the turf will be laid by tomorrow. Everything is supposed to be done by the 3rd, on the 4th two other schools are coming out to look at it to see if they are going with that company for theirs.

officials have made a point to say that there will be MANY sideline warnings and penalties given this year if the rule is not followed. That 25-25 zone will be watched heavily!

Alot of turf fields have it filled in like that. All fields atleast have an outer line that the players are supposed to stand behind.
