it will all be cleared up by tomorrow morning im sure. They just had to keep 35 closed between Woodall Rogers and 30 so the CSI people could investigate. They didnt want any of the debris moved before they could get there according to the radio today.

7:18 p.m. The Texas Department of Transportation is in the process of opening up everything except the exits to Industrial Blvd on both I-30 and I-35E.

What was all that stuff flying out from there? Looked like gas cylinders or something.

yeah...they were cylinders. They were flying hundreds of yards through the air. That could hurt!

I was at a conference for work in Dallas today and didnt hear about it until we got on the bus to go back to Austin. Needless to say, travel took about an hour longer than expected because of the detours. It was awweesome.

On a serious note, I hope everyone ended up ok.

Some of them looked like missiles being launched. That's pretty amazing. Lucky they didn't hit any of those cars whizzing by.

FROM THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS

All roads around downtown Dallas were re-opened Wednesday evening, nearly 12 hours after multiple explosions at an industrial gas facility hurled debris across roadways and produced a blinding cloud of smoke.

The roads remained closed through most of the evening rush hour, but re-opened at about 7 p.m.

Late Wednesday afternoon, TxDOT spokesman Mark Ball said that the Texas Department of Public Safety had given TxDOT workers the go-ahead to begin removing debris from the interstates. The clean-up began at about 3:50 p.m.
