In the NCAA, if you are doing and onsides kick, and the kicking team recovers it. Is the play dead when they have possession, or can they be tackled or keep on running?

don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure the guy with the ball is told to get down on the ground so that he cannot be hit/and or stripped...

ball cannot be advanced if recovered by kicking team

At Sulphur we would line up in a tite formation with #1's out wide and kick it to the sideline and out #1 who was a 100 meter stud would run down and catch it himself. He couldnt advanc eit though!!

we had this onside kick we'd practice to do when an onside kick wasn't expected... we'd have the kicker line-up, go to kick the ball but just before he another guy would cut him off and onside it...

All year we did this stupid thing. We huddled up with everyone but the kicker facing downfield, then they would all take a big step toward the ball like they were gonna onsides kick it. Not once all year did we onsides kick it though I don't think. Instead out kicker who could easily boot it out of the endzone would pooch it to the 30.....
