there is really only one poll
where you are at Christmas

a lot of good teams lose in the first, second ,3rd round ect
this moved up people who win in their bracket
but they are not actually better

example to put Snyder ahead of Gilmer is wrong
Snyder played longer but they are in no way better than Gilmer
same can be said for Ingleside

the top 2 are usually the finalist and or division winners
as it should be because they played each other

because you dont play the other teams
head to head counts and thats about it

Snyder loses to Monahans the first week but beats them in the playoffs
then Snyder is better they won when it counted
figure this
Gilmer kills Atlanta who beats LE
LE wins state

LE won when it counted

just like a few years back when Jarrell beats Bartlett in dist
but Bartlett goes on to win state

who is better?
one night Jarrell
but Bartlett is the state champion and killed Aspermont

polls dont mean squat
its what people think
if that was true just give some one the trophy
and cut the UIL outta a lot of opperating budget

no different that the NCAA
and thats a cluster

Why is that? These polls are for the 2007 season, not end of season polls for 2006.

I dont make a preseason poll to say these are the teams that will win state

My preseason poll is who I think are the top teams going INTO the season.
