Thanks for posting Bull Butter - ironically - a DVD will be released in July or August titled "Ruby's Town" it all started out by this young man named Eric McCowan who was doing a college project on film making and he chose to do it on Turkeyfest and how it got started etc.. that was in 2004 - well - he'd go to Booster Club meetings, football games, chatting and interviewed players, townsfolk etc, and that was the year we made the run at state and got beat by AW in the state finals - (he even rode the charter bus with us to the game) he'd come down from Austin to watch the games and ended up getting really interested in the community - not just football or turkeyfest - but the entire community. The DVD "Ruby's Town" has been accepted in a few film festivals - one being in San Antonio last weekend. anyway - his premiere will be in Cuero on July 14th...... pretty neat... I can't wait to see it..... They say there is alot of history about the town etc.......(PS- Eric is one of the Team Captains this year for the turkey race) He is from the Bastrop area I believe - he created a myspace page and everything...... I think it's called Ruby's town

http://youtube.com/watch?v=RJ3spW5r1sI Thanks for posting that Bull Butter . I was senior that year when CBS and Charles Kuralt came to Cuero.

Funny thing is there is not one Turkey ranch in DeWitt county now. Man the air quality has improved a lot.:D
