You seem to like numbers.
Where would be the best place for me look to find the maximum interest we can charge on past due invoices??
Any clue??

I don't know about maximum, but I know most of the stuff that we've handled here in the office we tack on 18%.

Okay....well that's a starting point. We did an environmental site assessment for a church....and they haven't paid!!

Okay, it is 6% over what they owe unless you had a contract that specifically stated that non payment would result in the 18% increase.

Things to consider:
1. What is the most that we can charge under the law?
2. What amount do we feel comfortable charging?
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what to tell you off hand. Some companies charge flat fees for late payment, others charge varying interest rates.

1. 6% of the balance UNLESS a contract states otherwise in case of default
