Cuban is suing Nelson for using "Confidential Information" to beat his former team in the playoffs. Are you kidding me?

Link to Randy Galloway's story in the Fort Worth Star Telegram.

I'll wait for someone other then Randy Galloway to report it before I believe it. Mark Cuban is sueing for this just like he had a luxury yacht parked outside the arena in Miami last year:rolleyes:

Man, is this a PR nighmare for Cuban. He seems to not give a crap about how others view him.

Since Cuban is arguably the face of the franchise...and the sole reason that others love to hate the Mavs...it's embarrassing :(

yeah, but IM not going to be embarrassed for the mavs (players) Cuban is the one to be embarrassed for (which usually occurs every six months). Thats like being a lakers fan and being embarrassed because there owner got a dwi a few weeks back....BUT I do understand where your coming from

from my understanding, Cuban is sueing Nelson because of his Co-Compete clause in his contract he had in Dallas. Basically, Nelson is wanting this 6.6 million and Cuban is saying he's not paying because in his contract their was a no-compete clause which means that if he stays as a consultant on the payroll he cannot leave to work for another franchise. It has nothing to do with having information that helped the Warriors beat the Mavs. The "inside information" is just legal jargon from no-compete clauses.

It is just like these no-compete clauses that the news media and some radio people sign. If so and so leaves the Channel 8 news to go work for Channel 4, usually they have to work off air for at least a year because of their no-compete clause in their contract.

I wonder when Donnie is going to just say screw it, I don't have to listen to this anymore, and beat the heck out of Cuban for all the crap he's said about his dad. I know if it was me and someone had talked about my dad the way Cuban has talked about Nellie I'd have beat him senseless a LONG time ago.

Nellie's a big boy he could have kicked Cuban's butt while he was here if he felt the need!

Oh I think he could've too! This is just beyond ridiculous though. There's Dbags and then there is Cuban. My team's owner maybe doing some ridiculous stuff, but this is a new all-time low even for Cuban. I would be completely embarrassed if I was a Mavs fan and saw something like this happening. I guess Cuban forgets that the people in Dallas still really like Nellie and all he did for the franchise. Just completely idiotic, but not unexpected behavior, from Marko Dorko.

I saw in the paper this morning cuban had hip replacement surgery. Maybe he needs some extra money to pay for that. He is only 48 years old..
