They sure aren't afraid to go after them. Too bad they weren't able to keep Aledo on there for another 2 years.

I am not sure on the location of the Wylie/BWood game. It was part of the weekend that AISD hosted at Shotwell opening weekend. Hopefully will be that again and GWood and Graham will open the weekend with a Thursday game. McCoy loves Thursday games.

Same story as last year. :p Austin Johnston was originally in the district....then notified the UIL that the numbers for another campus had been left out of the count they turned in.. (UIL's fault, not school's) So, they were put back in 4A, leaving the district coaches scrambling to fill dates. Hutto has 2 also.

I bet there are other schedules that are equally tough.

There are about 4 or 5 games that will be good. Those being Brownwood, maybe IP but its up to them, Frenship, Wimberely, and guess who, yes Sweetwater. Oh yea and hello guys. Ive been on vacation for a while and its time for my return.

Tatum-Away
Daingerfield-Home
Center-Away
Atlanta-Home
Mineola-Home
Sabine-Away (in their 1A stadium)
Spring Hill-Away
White Oak-Away
Gladewater-Home
With an off week thrown in there somewhere, probably between the Sabine and Spring Hill games.

No one from Lousiana has heard of this team?? How can this be? Weirdos! Good to see you posting again!! Don't be a stranger. :p

Don't forget the school of the blind. They haven't said it yet, but they will. They said it every game last year and then all of a sudden Celina was in the Championship game. I guess you never play anyone until you lose a game. Those other 15 teams last year thought they were somebody. Liberty Hill was somebody. We will play nobody all year this year I think.;)

I didn't know

Mart, Pewitt, Alto, Garrison, Sonora, Goldthwaite, Stanton, Stratford, Gainesville, Elysian Fields, Dallas Madison, Crawford, Italy, Vernon, Robinson, Brownsboro and several others

were all catholic schools?

I guess we should stop scheduling TAPPS opponents

The only schedule that matters is the one in november and december

schools don't get to choose too terribly much about their schedule the rest of the year, nor do they get to choose what region they play in

Sorry, but they do get to choose who is scheduled before district....I think that's his question. Are the teams listed from the playoffs or teams that scheduled by choice?

those are teams from the playoffs

Celina only has 3 non-district games, and this year they included

Plano Prestonwood (defending TAPPS champion) 28-7
Liberty Christian (TAPPS 4A 12-2 state finalist) 28-14
Robinson (12-3 3A state finalist) 42-14

Hard to get people to sign up to play you when have 1 loss in the regular season the last eight years

i'm pretty sure Celina will be taking all comers after the next re-alignment

I guess you were right..Celina needs to stop scheduling the TAPPS teams j/k

I understand it can be hard for a team like Celina to play alot of teams..BUT there are PLENTY of schools who would love a chance to slay the dragon..I have never understood why Celina does not go East more in non-district and take on some of those teams

And why is that Lost Australian? How'd that "tough" pre-district work out for Gilmer last year? How has Celina done the last oh let's say 8 Years playing their schedule. Lot's of December games, right? Maybe just maybe their is a method to the madness. :D

We have tried that. You have to understand, no one really wants to play us. This year Robinson did. They thought they were pretty good. And as it turned out they were. We played Royse City in years past. And pasted them. I have been watching these guys play for years and the better we got the harder it was to find anyone to play us. When we were 2a in the middle 90's it was not as bad. But since about 98 it has been more and more difficult. We scheduled 3a teams like Little Elm(now 4a), Royse City, Nevada Community etc. Just not a lot of great teams close by. Commerce comes to mind but it starts getting to be a real hassle just to have a game after that. 60 or 70 miles diameter ought to get you a game but not us.

I hate to harp on an old subject, but we play the best we can find in pre season like when we beat Robinson 42-14 last year. Anybody remember them? You know as in DI finalist? The other two schools were Tapps and good. State finalist and defending state champs. If they were in our district I think they would have finished second and third and gone at least two rounds in the playoffs. Previous years we have had several teams in preseason that were in the playoffs such as Roysce City.
