for years it was a toss up between bay city and west orange....

those two played ALL OF THE POWERHOUSES...

and it didn't do well for job security in one case....

bay city and WOS were always equal to the challenge, though

until recently, when the schedule and years of low returning numbers has beaten them down

Aug 31. vs Giddings-home tough
Sept. 7 vs Dripping Springs-away no biggie
Sept. 14 vs Luling-home 2 weeks in a row
Sept. 21 vs Texarkana Libety-Euylau-in Waxahachie tough
Sept. 28 vs Liberty Hill-away tough
Oct. 5 vs Abiliene Wylie-away tough
Oct. 19 vs Cypress Wood-in Giddings new school?
Oct. 26 vs Bandera-home dist win
Nov. 2 vs Ingram-away 3rd teamers play
Nov. 9 vs Llano-home undeafeted dist

I would say
this

Sept. 21 vs Texarkana Libety-Euylau-in Waxahachie
Sept. 28 vs Liberty Hill-away
Oct. 5 vs Abiliene Wylie-away

may be the toughest 3 games in a row anywhere
all road games

if they could win these 3 and no injuries?
great confidence builder

at worst 1-2
at best 2-1

It would be tough to win those 3 in a row
but I give props to them
very tough schedule
but they can
knowing the last 3-4 are realtively easy
but they will be battle tested for playoffs

Columbia has to play Brazosport, Bellville, and St. Pius, who consistantly wins Private school titles, in pre- district, and have to play Needville, Wharton, and Sweeny.

none of them are better than the 3 Wimberly plays
yes Wimberly's dist is weak
but for 3 games
you will be hard pressed to find 3 tougher in a row

Brazosport isn't a tough game really..i mean they went 2-8 last year...although they do have Melvin White back this year, he was the faster one of the 2 so maybe this year they could cause trouble...

Yeah we won all 3 last year but lost to Giddings the first game didnt mean much though we still lost to Hondo in quaterfinals. Its a totally new team this year with alot of under classmen which these games will really prepare them for playoff games. These kids comin up are very talented but just lack experience so they need these big games against championship caliber teams to prepare.
