My back surgery is setup for Monday morning. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning. Unbelieveable! They are making me stay at the hospital for 1, maybe two nights.

1981 and 1983 back surgery. 1987 neck surgery. All good now. I heard it's a cakewalk now from one of my friends that just had it done Kao. No worries my friend! Good luck and enjoy the drugs while they are giving them. They cut them off way too soon sometimes.:hairpunk:

I know about the laminectomy and I bet the discectomy is going to be easy due to the Micro part. Is it all scope work?

its a two level surgery. The microscopic one should be pretty simple with no muscle involved which is good for a fast heal. The laminectomy will be a little tougher from what ive heard.

I have bulging disks at L4-L5 and L5=S1. I am doing OK now with walking and pelvic tilt exercises and baby crunches but I will probably have to have the surgery also. Keep us posted. Prayers are with you dude.

I agree - hope you are "back" ASAP - and the surgery is 100% successful.....My husband had 3 cervical disc's "fused" in July 1998 and other than a couple of "flare ups" he is doing great - He'll end up having the L4/5 fusing done at some time in the future, but so far, he's able to tolerate...... I hope you have the same success he's had. I'll keep you in my prayers :)

It took 3 days to get up and walk a few steps then. In a couple of weeks I was getting along okay. That was way back then in 81 nad 83. In 25 years you know it has to be easier on you. Good luck and keep us posted.
