So if you have to go across the border the next several days do so at a low key pace. The USA beat Mexico 2 - 1 in soccer for the NONCACAF Gold Cup Championship of North & Central American and the Carribean. Good news indeed for US soccer but still tourist must be very careful. Mexico does not like to lose to the US in soccer.

I'm not a soccer fan. but it's always good to see the U.S. beat another country at it's own game!!

It's CONCACAF, Phil..come on.

Watched every second of the game. Mexico led 1-0 at the half, but the USA woke up and scored a couple of great goals to win the game.

what did u think of the call that led to the penalty shot?

Texas own Clint Dempsey IMO had a bad game

Dempsey sucked yesterday, but his play in the earlier games is what got the US to the title game.

Thought it was a good call for the PK. Guy planted his leg and clipped Ching. Wasn't a huge foul, but it was in the box, so it was the right call.

Houston Dyna-scum at Dallas, 5 p.m. in Frisco.

especially Mexico

as much of a double standard they have over there for us, it's good to see them have to take in something they love. The US has pretty much dominated the series recently, and not only do the Mexicans hate us for it, they hate us even more because most Americans don't even know or care

yeah, we beat them in soccer and they go nuts and try to attack americans...but when we try to force immigration laws on them, all hell breaks loose and their 'rights' have been violated...

Seeing as the US is ranked 16th( a bit high but not to hight) and are 10-0-1 in last 11 games, They are proving they are making the strides

The thing is that we must be sensitive to other peoples' feelings.
Remember soccer is very popular in Mexico as is bullfighting. Also baseball is very popular there.

why? Mexico has shown an obvious lack of tact in most of their dealings with the US.

I have no regrets when our soccer team continues to beat them
