Victoria had two stations playing Texas Music at once, a population of 70k, the second oldest dance hall 15 minutes outside of town and some other places for shows and they still have yet to accomplish what El Campo is accomplishing... a lot of people from Vic can be found in El Campo on the weekends (tad over an hour drive up 59)...

I could give a rats about Coe, just my opinion, though if I'm drunk I will sing along about mom and prison... but they get the best week in week out in Rice Bird land...

El Campo is working towords being Texas Music headquarters... they even have a coffee shop with open mic nights now and a young promising local band with a bad ass girl bass player... and as you said, only a population of about 10k...
