that's too bad...i know bueno's wife has been ill and hancock has several young children, so i completely understand them not wanting to make another huge move in such a short time period...
i have a huge amount of respect for both of those guys to resign w/ burk after all of that craziness that went on up there in the colony...

A friend of Davis's told me that they have trouble getting the kids to participate in football.

The Yoakum newpaper stated there was 4 finalist for the job and the announcement would be made today. If Burk is the man then they made a good choice. I hope they let him bring in at least one assistant. There is some coaches at Yoakum that have been there too long and are going thru the motions. Whoever gets the job will find that out pretty quick.

from my understanding, an assistant at Kaufman got the Yoakum job. The only reason I say that is because a friend of mine was just hired at Kaufman and he was told he wa replacing the coach that left for Yoakum

Glad Burk landed on his feet. Good luck to him!

No disrespect intended to Coach Bueno or Coach Hancock, but it's not exactly a hard decision to leave TC!

I still say TC should drop football!

My son played for Burk in Navasota.

He's a good coach and more important a good man.
