back when the UIL created 5A, HP was under the cut-off and relegated to 4A. But HP school officials petitioned the UIL to be included in 5A, so that they could continue to play the schools they had been playing. HP would still compete well in 5A in all sports. You may not like them, but they have one of the most successful programs in history. I respect that.
