Expecting Salado to turn 3A next

With the growth between Austin and Temple in the Georgetown vicinity, it's being predicted that Salado will become the next Hutto in growth.

I think so, and they had a decent football team for a couple years not too long ago. They would likely be in Rockdale's district - possibly with Cameron, Caldwell, Taylor and Hutto, I'd predict.

Not gonna happen. Because next realignment both Hutto and Taylor will be 4A!!!!

Not if Hutto opens another school, which is being considered. As long as they keep increasing 3A cutoff, Taylor will remain.

Because of Mumford, I doubt Hearne will be 3A again. The new Bryan school could even be in the mix.

Liberty Hill, I would strongly doubt. Salado would make more sense going with them or going into the Lampasas direction.

It would be nice to be able to go back to the old district but we couldn't because of Manor and Elgin.

And what's with Cameron being on the verge of dropping to 2A? That seems crazy in a town of 5,500 people. Is it because mostly older people live there or do Yoe kids flunk out at record pace?

Either way, if Cameron drops. woe be unto 2A. It would be the next Tatum.

At the October "snapshot" date for enrollment for 2006-2007, the following enrollments were reported by the TEA. (For those areas that are really growing, those numbers should be much larger for the October 2007 "snapshot" date which determines the classification for the 2008-2010 realignment.)

Hutto, Salado, and Manor all showed large growth during the past 6 years. Elgin has shown a small bit of growth but are starting to grow more. Taylor has stayed about the same.

Prediction: Hutto to 4A, Salado to 3A, Taylor to stay 3A, Elgin on the bubble.

what kinda district yall see hutto going into. I think they will get put with the pflugerville schools maybe like this

Hutto won't open another HS for at least 5-6 years possibly. Once they go 4A, I think the district would look more like this:

Hutto
Taylor (yes,they will be 4A)
Manor
Elgin

Not sure if the UIL would put the 2 Pflugerville schools (Connally & Hendrickson) in this district.
