I think yall are underestimating the tigers of Commerce by saying that the game is not going to be close, because it seems like they always come to play in the playoffs.

If Celina thinks that the Commerce Tigers will roll over in the playoffs they are in for a rude awakening. The Tigers are always tough and never give up. They won the 2001 State Title against my Leps despite the fact that the Leps moved the ball up and down the field with 17 first downs to 5. They force turnovers, stop drives on 4th and short in the redzone and make the big plays on you. I think the Tigers are definately in this one.

That's what makes the playoffs so interesting isn't it. I heard the same about Gainesville. :)

Pudlugger, I doubt that Celina is thinking that Commerce will roll over in the playoffs. They know what they are up against. Celina is to smart to look past Commerce.

If the coach pulls out all the stops and holds back on nothing we may do OK but the spark is not there. Maybe a QB change would help? The kid is a great athlete but can not make a good decision to save his life! Celina by at least 2 TDs

Two great teams of the past going against each other in 2003! Would rather see The 2001 commerce against one of the great Celina teams of the past! Hate to say it but Celina by 2 maybe 3 tds.

CC700, Celina has played one good team, Gainseville, and they got beat BAD. Looks like it could be a good game. Celina is way overrated! They may beat Commerce, but that's it.

I am not counting 2A, what they did there was impressive, but let's talk 3A. They can beat the teams in that district of theirs outside of Gainseville, but really, how good is that district. They beat Gville last year with a real good Celina team, but they don't have the talent they had last year. The Celina - Dfield game last year made me a believer that they belonged in 3A, but I don't see them going far this year. And if they don't watch out they could be one and done. We here in Daingerfield have the utmost respect for them after last year's battle, I just believe they are overrated this year.

Blue,

What are you going to say if Gilmer beats D'field Friday? Seems to me that would be "one-and done" also. eek!

Nobody in Celina takes anybody lightly this time of year. IF we beat Commerce, we'll worry about the big boys from the woods.

If we get beat, then we will be one and done. No excuses hear. Although Gilmer is a far cry from playing a commerce in the first round.

No argument there, but that's why we play the games! Good Luck, we'd like another shot.

We would like to do it again, but Gilmer may haven't something to say about it. Either way, Celina will have a battle on their hands. Good luck this week

One thing is definitely for sure! The winner of the Gilmer/Daingerfield game will play the winner of the Celina/Commerce game. You guys can take that one to the bank. That one is for free! From now on, it's gonna' cost for info like that.

i dont think that either team has a shot in the world to make it very far so it doesnt matter, but Celina will pull this one out, i just hope Celina doesnt have to play Gainesville again for their sake seeing as in the season they came in all big and bad and went home with their tails between their legs

jj3069,

If you call coming into a game with three starters out, and a coach that came straight from the hospital 30 minutes before the game started, because he had spent the last two days at his ill mom's bedside, "coming in all big and bad" then I guess you are right.

Welcome to the board,

I would suggest you try and make a few friends here before you talk too much trash though, because history says you won't last long the way you are starting out.
