best free message board

i have family moving away from sinton and id like to set up a message board i so we can all let each other what is going on in our lives. i did this about a year or more ago. but after a couple weeks, we started getting pop-ups and other headache type stuff. is there any online (free) message boards out there with as little annoyances as possible?

we has a message board (similar to this) and it worked better than a family webpage. i cant even remember the one i had. i guess it was longer ago than a year come to think of it

Do we pay to not have those annoying pop up adds?? I've never thought about how AWESOME it is that we don't have to worry about that stuff. :)

My cousin has this one......I haven't looked around that much, but supposedly it's free!!
