You wonder sometimes don't you. I look at the last 8 seasons and I think we may be as good this year as any of them exept possibly the 05 team. It really comes down to leadership this year. Will we be as hard hitting and "nasty" as we need to be to compete at the highest level. There were some who thought that we were a little soft last year and I was inclined to agree at least in comparison to the year before. However, we did have 3 weaker teams on 02 03 and 04 before we bounced back up. Those three years we lost 4 games. We have only lost 2 since and from oct 98 to the playoffs of 02 we did not lose any. So by our standards those were pretty bad years. At least since 95.
Will we win it all this year? Who can say? We were hit real hard with the injury bug in 04 which eventually caused our loss to Crawford. Lost 5 starters and that is never good to lose that many especially since 3 of them were "skill" positions. I don't like to get caught up in that we will win state till we get thru district.
Then look and see if the team is intact and performing. I will let you know then what I think our chances are.

No, celina had 3-3 starters returning and moved up to 3A last year

they were something like #14 in DCTF last year
