my parents bought a house in Midland in 2001 for $39,000....they did some cosmetic work on it, enclosed the garage and put it on the market for $125,000 yesterday at 3:00 PM.....it sold this morning at 9:30 for the asking price!!

It is HARD to find a place to live in Midland right now........at least a 9 month waiting list for apartments.....houses are REAL hard to find!!

I hope they take me out to eat!!:D :D

I confused myself LOL :D

the prehistoric stone circle in Wiltshire, England, is called Stonehedge rather than Stonehenge - the monument is by far the most common misspelling of any British attraction

Found this on wikipedia. don't about the coordinates though....I'll keep looking.,,,,,,,,,

Stonehenge II is a replica of the original Stonehenge monument. It can be found on FM 1340 west of Hunt, Texas, USA. The grid reference is 3004.428N, 9921.530W.

Most of the stones are constructed of an adobe-like material applied to a wire mesh frame. They could be damaged if someone were to try to climb on them. On the other hand, a few of the central stones are real, large, and probably unmovable without heavy equipment.

There are also two replica Moai, or Easter Island heads, at the same site. (Easter Island is also known as Rapa Nui and Isla de Pascua.) The Moai are made of the same material as the Stonehenge II stones.

Moai replica
Moai replicaVisitors should beware the large Texas Fire ants in the area. The mounds are easy to spot as the ants have cleared the vegetation in about a one meter diameter circle around them.

I never even knew it was in Odessa either!!

Of course....Odessa is like Midland's "step child"...they don't claim it unless they have to, or they do something that makes them look good!!:D :D

Which ironically....is kind of how Midland treats Greenwood too!!:)
