Texas football player elects to transfer
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas sophomore S Robert Joseph has elected to transfer, he confirmed on Monday.
"I want to thank coach Brown, coach Akina and all of the staff for everything they did for me," Joseph said. "I've really enjoyed my time at Texas, but I think it's in my best interest now to transfer and get a fresh start. I don't know where I'm going to go yet, but I hope to continue working towards my dream of playing in the NFL."
Joseph, a graduate of Memorial High School in Port Arthur, Texas, appeared in seven games in 2006 at safety and on special teams. He recorded 14 tackles and a PBU.
"We appreciate everything that Robert contributed to our football program," said Mack Brown. "We wish him the very best in football and in life."
Same player that was arrested a week ago or so.
