AUSTIN (AP) - The second Longhorns football player to be
arrested this month remains in jail today.
19-year-old Texas safety Robert Joseph was booked into the
Travis County Jail early today on two misdemeanor charges of

This is crap, im a longhorn fan but I dont condone actions like this. I want to hear the facts first, maybe something of his was in this car, but if this is just some act of him being a thug id get rid of him.

That is why you should wait for the story on both sides, not prejudge. Who knows, the police officer could have been an Aggie.

Remember a few years ago when Cedrick Benson was arrested and they later dropped the charges. That's why it's not good to make a quick judgement without ALL of the facts.

Robert Joseph, a safety for the Longhorn football team, is charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle. Joseph, a sophomore reserve, was booked in early this morning into Travis County lockup.

The arrest affidavit states that Joseph, a sophomore reserve, was arrested at the Omni Hotel parking garage at about 3 AM this morning. According to the report, an off-duty APD officer working a security detail got a report of someone banging on cars in the parking garage. Upon investigation, the officer found Joseph sitting in a car that did not belong to him. Joseph initially told the cop that the car belonged to a friend of his. While the officer was trying to check who the actual owner was, the report says Joseph ran away.

A little later, the officer heard the sounds of another car alarm..and found Joseph sitting in a different vehicle. Joseph then told the cop that he was breaking into cars to get away from someone who attacked him on 6th street at a club. He has been arrested on 2 counts of burglary of a vehicle.
