Sure hope he doesn't go to the Nats! :(

Congrats on being drafted though

Well he was drafted by the Reds last year and didn't go. Don't know what he'll be doing now. He is home right now, maybe I should just stop by and ask him. :D ;)

Tell him I'm still irritated about when he and his Sinton teams knocked Bellville out of football and baseball playoffs in the same school yr. :(

hope he does well in the future.

I'll make sure and mention that to him and send along your best wishes for his future. Actually, I think his dad reads this board. If not his dad, then maybe him and/or one of his brothers. I forget. :D

He will go pro. It is time, being a 4th year guy now after redshirting his 1st year. What does he have left to prove in college? He has had individual honors, thrown a no-hitter, & been a big part of a NC team. It is time to give pro ball a shot & show he can stay healthy. That is the knock on him after some arm problems coming out of hs. Best of luck to him.

A&M's top pitcher wasn't their 1st pitcher drafted. A lot of drafts are about where the player is projected to be in the future. Some teams shy away from marquee college players because often times they feel that those guys have already reached their peak and aren't worth a top pick.

Actually, the Nats have some very good prospects on the way in the minors. And a new ballpark being built. It is not all bad in DC. Future could be ok in time.

I'd like to see where some of the top baseball players now(or ever) were drafted.

also...if you open their player profiles up @ Yahoo or ESPN it will tell you year and round that they were drafted.

Adrian was drafted in the 36th round #1096 last year by the Cardinals.
