Congrats Will........ forgive me for maybe asking a dumb question - but what does he still go to college? How does it work in MLB?

He has a few options:

1) go into the Red Sox farm system now
2) go to A&M on scholarship. If he chooses this, then he can't re-enter the draft until after his sophmore season. The Red Sox essentially have 2 years to sign him.

I had a friend that was drafted by the Orioles a few years back out of HS in the sandwich round (between 1 and 2). He also had a scholarship to Ok State. What he did was negotiate into his agreement with the O's that he will join their organization now...but whenever he finishes his playing careeer that they will pay for him to attend whatever university he chooses to attend so that he can earn his bachelor's degree. If Will wants to go pro...I suggest he does this! :)
