Congrats to LE on the win today. When Will mowed down 5 of 6 to start the game I was a little sick to my stomach!! LOL. He is really something special!! Good Luck to him (draft) and the Leps against the 'Dawgs.

I'm sorry our boys didn't reach their ultimate goal today. They battled for 7 innings and never gave up. They touched up Middlebrooks for 7 hits and 3 runs and that's the most any team has put up against the 'Leps this playoff season - so hat's off to them!!!  Sinton has a young team - if they can stay healthy & focused next year - everybody better LOOK OUT!!!

Congrats on a great season SINTON PIRATES!!! :cheerl: :cheerl:

Congratulations to the Pirates for a great season. Also congratulations to Abilene Wylie for a great season and good luck tomorrow to both Jasper and LE and may the best team win.

I saw on the news last night where the ball hit between three Sinton defenders. From what I saw it would have taken a great catch to have caught the ball. I think it just dropped right for LE rather that a Sinton error but that is just my judgement.

I saw on the news last night where the ball hit between three Sinton defenders. From what I saw it would have taken a great catch to have caught the ball. I think it just dropped right for LE rather that a Sinton error but that is just my judgement. Well when there are 3 players that could have made the play - someone needs to call for it and MAKE the play. It is not a true error, but it is a mental/communication error. That happened to them against Falfurrias too.

Here are Coach K's quotes in the Caller-Times about the play:

"I felt like when we allowed the popup behind second base to hit the ground in the second inning and let them have the two early runs that we lost a little bit of that edge and confidence that I thought we'd have coming in" ... "After that, of course, they were able to get two more and get us down by four."

"We kind of regrouped and talked about battling and competing," ... "But I think when they scored those initial two runs, which we basically gifted them, that kind of set the tone for those early innings and allowed them to get out to that four-run lead"

So, SOMEONE has to step up, take charge, call for the ball and then make the play!

Well, it's kinda hard to win a final four match when you give up unearned runs. Definitely have to give LE their props, but they will have their hands full with Jasper's speed.

Sinton loses only two of the starting nine to graduation. They just might make it back next year.
