Ok I am a Spurs fan but this year is a win - win situation no matter how the series turns out. I am a Spurs fan but since a great former UT basketball player Daniel Gibson is playing for Cleveland I won't be as disappointed if the Spurs lose. Also this is great for the City of Cleveland and remember Paul Newman is from Cleveland and in fact I think I saw him there on television when the camera showed the fans.

But overall I still want the Spurs to win the series which could possible go to seven games. Go Spurs!

Daniel Gibson is the first Horn to be in the NBA finals since Slater Martin in the 1950s.

Nevertheless I am still a Spurs fans first so Go Spurs!

Slater Martin was a great UT basketball player in the 40s and in the 1950s he was one of the top defensive players in the NBA. He played on five world championship teams. Four times with the Minneapolis Lakers from 1950 to 1954 and another time with the St. Louis Hawks in 1958. He is the only Horn so far to be in the basketball hall of fame.
