View Full Version : UT Baseball Team Loses Tonight

Well, I know it wasn't on tv, but the Longhorns lost to UC Irvin 3-1 this evening. Adrian Alaniz(12-3) took the loss. He pitched 6.2 inning, gave up 6 hits, 2ER, and struckout 7.

UT is playing Wake Forest right now and is leading 4-1 going into the botom of the last inning.

The Longhorns gave up 3 hits, one of which was a two run homer, and 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th. Wake Forest has tied the game at 4-4 going into the 10th.

Lonhorns get 3 runs and 4 hits inlcuding a 2 RBI Double from Bradley Suttle and an RBI Double by Russell Moldenhauer to take the lead going into the bottom of the 12th.

It will be tough for UT and A&M to make the super regional.
Will have to double up UC Irvine and ULL if they want to move on to the next round.

With bases loaded and 2 outs, UT pitcher Austin Wood strikes out pinch hitter Michael Murray to end the game. UT wins 7-4.
