Bridge City had too many senior leadership breakdowns. And junior. And freshman. Fielding, throwing and thinking was absent in this series. The Dawgs had BC's number this year and the BC brain farts added to the misery.

Congratulations to the Dogs for advancing to state, and congratulations to BC for advancing to Region III finals.

BC you played a great series. After figuring out that Jasper out scored BC by just one run 30-29, ...
well, why didn't they just flip a coin?? :D

Good Season BC, knocked off some good teams to get to Region Finals. Congrats to Jasper Bulldogs, see ya'll in Round Rock !:)

You know, the Dogs do seem to be having fun. Before the start of the game today, some of the players were shooting "baskets" with the baseballs. Appeared to be loose and relaxed as could be. :)

p.s. we could see why they were not basketball players. :D

You know I do beleive these games put more fans in the stands than Lamar ever did this season. Congrats to the Bulldogs on a great win. Eliminate those mistakes for the tourney so we can see you walk out as champions.

I thought Jasper played very well in the last game. They were charged with only one error by the short stop, and I thought that was marginal. A lesser athlete probably would not even have gotten to the ball on the other side of second to have made the "error". Other than the first two games in this series, that is the type ball Jasper has played in the playoffs. I think they will carry that into the state tournament. I think Jasper and BC playing was a special case of both teams perhaps trying "too hard" because of the district experiences.
