When I log in at home it says I run at 24.0 kb/s, but I know that it's not really that fast. I feel your pain, but don't fear, by the end of 2007 or the beginning of 2008, you'll be able to get DSL out at your house, at least that's what AT&T says.

That's what some guy from Verizon told Raelene. I'll believe it when I see it. We don't have AT&T here in Orange Grove or in Dewees for that matter. It's all Verizon.:(

Well, my father is a Communication Technician for AT&T and has been working there the better part of 30 years, so I'm going to take his word on it.

I'm on wireless that knocks my mbps down from 100 to 54. I don't see a big difference.

It's all a bunch of BS anyway. I had Valley Telephone Service, which is a coop located in Raymondville. That's in the Valley for you geographically imparied people. They had DSL available in ALL of their area which included 20 miles south of George West in the middle of BFE way back on a ranch. We're talking a good four or five miles from the highway. If Verizon wanted to provide DSL, they would do so.
