Geez, an AP Poll I can actually agree with. Not sure about Canyon being up there, though. Would have rather seen Daingerfield, or Spring Hill at the #9 or #10 spot.

Vernon scrimmaged Canyon this past Friday night and they sure had some speed. Also drove at will on Vernon's 1st team defense. Held Vernon to no offensive touchdowns. Vernon is a solid team so Canyon looked like they deserved it for what it is worth.

La Grange should be higher like #5 or 6...i have a good feeling about them.
Canyon should be dropped
Decatur should move into sole possesion of #9
and Gainesville should be at #10.

C-TOWN, Have to agree also Carthage should be in the top 20. I don't think Graham, Monahans and Snyder should be rated that highly based on their # of returning starters and what they accomplished last season. Other very good looking teams that look better than these on paper are Yoakum, West Oso, Navasota, Port Isabel, and Rusk.

HAd a chance to see La Grange in our first scrimmage, should do good... They're pretty quick and when they get rolling look out!
