View Full Version : The battle for the Silver Boot has officially started..

Rangers jump up to a quick 5-0 lead in the 3rd.. Remember who ever wins the overall series between the Rangers and Astros is the champion of Texas and will recieve the coveted Silver Boot.. The Rangers may be considered the worst team in the ML by the bandwagon fans of the downlow, but they are are still determined to get that boot!!!

ya he is, the Rangers have really stepped it up this game.. just goes to show how much the Silver Boot really means to these players.. I'm just hoping Tejeda can finish off this no-hitter *knock on wood*

Actually it shows that Albers probably needs to go back to Triple A.

The Rangers have a pretty good lineup.. I don't think the Astros have the pitching to win the boot this year regardless of who is starting

well, it was a couple of Triple A caliber players in Ramon Vazquez and Nelson Cruz who drove him from the game.

The ones who really appreciate baseball care about it.. now the ones who only show up when the Asstros make the playoffs, I doubt they care, but are they really fans anyways???

I don't find it too laughable.. this is one of my favorite times of the year, there isn't too much better then the Battle for the Silver boot..

Rangers up in the series 1-0
