that anyone knows about in football, basketball, baseball, softball etc. in the state? I use the word potentially because circumstances and injuries have made a difference in the past. I was at the Sinton - Mathis softball game the other night and the Mathis softball team has a sophomore that plays first base and she is excellent. Her name is Nellie Hererra and I think she has a promising career in high school softball and maybe even college. She is great at her position. She can bat but it probably needs a little improving but the potential is there. With experience and coaching I think we may hear from that young lady in the future.
