Gutsy tough little guy; this is what West Texas high school football is about A.J. Flores - tough as a Mule (http://www.panhandlesports.com/stories/111202/foo_hsfb111202-1.shtml)

DaMules, I don;t understand how muleshoe got into the playoffs over Dimmitt when they had the same district recirds and Dimmitt beat Muleshoe in head to head. PLease try to explain to me. Thanks.

Brownfield won district sole 1st place, and is going as the D1 rep. There was a 3-way tie for 2nd place with Muleshoe, Littlefield, and Dimmitt. Muleshoe beat Littlefield about 28-7, Littlefield beat Dimmitt about 41-7, and Dimmitt beat Muleshoe 24-20. This district goes on point differential/margin of victory if more than two teams tie, rather than the old fashioned unfair coin flip. So Dimmitt was out on point differential and would be airing up the roundballs today. In the remaining two, Muleshoe beat Littlefield, so da Mules go as D2 1st seed, and Littlefield goes D2 2nd seed.

Da Mules, Nice post and real good article. It's nice to see a paper do an article on someone who clearly has a lot of drive and dedication. Good luck with the playoffs

DaMUles, letting the Dimmitt Bobcats get an early start on B-Ball is not a good thing. You would think that some talking between B-Ball and F-Ball coaches inthe district would work something out. Just Kidding. I will pull for ya'll in the playoffs but gotta pull for the Bobcats during B-Ball season. I lived there from 97-2000. They had some great seasons in B-Ball those years and the last 2.
