MILAN (Reuters) - A striptease by 72-year-old actress Sofia Loren could be one of the more outrageous ways that Napoli fans will celebrate if the team are promoted to the Italian top flight this season.

Loren, a movie sex siren from the 1950s and 1960s, is a big fan of the Naples club who have fallen on hard times since winning their first Italian championship 20 years ago.

"I hope that Napoli win these last few games. You watch if we go up I will do a striptease," she told Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview Tuesday. "The fans have a total passion, the city deserves promotion."

Napoli are third in Serie B, Italy's second division, and have five games left to force their way into the top two or face a promotion playoff.

What she means that if they win she will do it at about 3 in the morning when no one else is around. Sort of like that woman soccer goalie did in Atlanta a few years ago. :)

Sophia Loren had a great movie career. She appeared in several great movies such as Houseboat with Cary Grant, El Sid with Charleton Heston, Fall of the Roman Empire with Stephen Boyd and James Mason and Heller in Pink Tights with Anthony Quinn and Stephen Boyd.
She won the best actress award for her performance in the great 1961 movie called Two Women. This was a foreign made movie and was the first time this award was given for an actress performance in a foreign movie. She also got an honorary oscar in 1990.

An outstanding beautiful talented actress indeed.

A few more of her great movies include The Countess from Hong Kong with the great Marlon Brando and Trippi Hedren (from the Birds), Arabasque with Gregory Peck and Operation Cross Bow with George Peppard, Trevor Howard and Lilli Palmer.

Ad she was also in the movie Legend of the Lost with John Wayne. It has been many years since I saw that great movie.

I have heard that John Wayne wanted her in his movie The Alamo to play the role that was played by Linda Crystal (who did a good job) but that Sophia wasn't available at the time. It is a shame because even though Linda was very good Sophia would have been great.
