They are so upset with two players being suspended for tonight's game that there have been threats to the Commissioner, Spurs, and even Eva Longoria. The last two didn't have anything to do with ruling on the suspension. Besides they wound up ahead. They are only losing two players for just one game but the Spurs are losing one of the best three point shot players ever for TWO games. That is right two games. Quit complaining Suns fans. You have the big advantage - and especially if you win tonight. And even if you lose you will have your players back by Friday unlike the Spurs. So get with the program and stop complaining.

The fact that Stoudamire got suspended for trying to seperate people is pretty lame IMO. As was said on M&M this morning...the rule needs to be tweaked to consider the player's intent when getting off the bench. Same thing as in the finals last year when DJ Mbenga got suspended for going in the crowd in Phoenix to seperate Avery's wife from a heckling fan. He was working to difuse the situation...yet he still got in trouble.

or Raja Bell's clothesline last year of Kobe...
rules were interpreted and enforced... no double standard...

Playoff stats for the suspended players:

Robert Horry - 6.4 ppg, 3.9 rb, 47% FG and 41% 3PT (9 of 22)

Amare Stoudamire - 23.9 ppg, 12 rb, 2 blocks, 53% FG and 75% FT
Boris Diaw - 7.2 PPG, 3.5 rb, 3 assists, 48% FG

Sorry Phil...the Suns are losing A LOT more than the Spurs are in this ordeal. Also, the team that wins game 5 when the series is tied at 2-2 wins the series approximately 85% of the time. Advantage...Spurs

But Ad don't forget the Suns are only losing them for one game. The Spurs are losing one of the best three point shooters for TWO games.

Horry isn't one of the best 3 point shooters. He's only taking an average of about 2 shots per game so his point contribution can be easily replaced. Where will the Suns replace the 23 points and 12 boards of Stoudamire? Remember...he simply was seperating people and doing nothing to inflame the situation. Cheap shot Bob did get 2 games (he deserved at least that much) but his contribution to the team will not be missed like when Stoudamire isn't in the lineup for Phoenix. With Game 6 going back to San Antonio...the Suns REALLY need to win this one tonight and that will be very tough without anybody in the paint to try and slow down Duncan.

BOO CHEAP SHOT BOB!!!!

But Ad that is the way the rules are now. If it isn't fair change the rules. But they must be enforced as they are now or people will get upset.

Actually Ad things are looking for bright for the Suns. Even if they lose tonight they will have their two players back for the game in Dallas Friday and with Horry out the Suns will have an advantage and should win in San Antonio and then the seventh game (even though Horry will be back) will be in Phoenix. That increases the risk.

It is even risky now because even though the Suns don't have them tonight the game is in Phoenix so their odds of winning are still even good tonight.

You'd think if anything the league would benefit by the Suns advancing since they are "fun to watch" and the Spurs are "boring." Not that I've heard anything like this but I thought a pre-emptive strike on the conspiracy theorists might be necessary.:D

And if people really are phoning in death threats they need to get a life.

this might be covered in the other thread which i have not gotten to yet but it seems silly that the thug Bowen who intentionally tried to cause harm didnt get any type of suspension.

The Suns lose a starter and a major factor in their game for a game because he tried to break up other players. He knew the rule but how many times have you been at a scuffle and it wasnt your instant unconcious reaction to either try and jump in or break it up? He did break the rule but as the rule is written it is open for interpretation. Thorn must be a former UIL official. No logic applied to any decisions.

The thing most of you are overlooking is this is a great advantage for Phoenix in disguise. Nash will rally the rest of the team together and play a great game tonight. Overall it is anyone's game tonight. Plus don't forget the Phoenix crowd.

Phil please stop comparing losing Robert Horry to losing Stoudamire and Diaw. Your losing 1 guy whos averaging 6 points who is over the hill anyway. Compared to losing a teams leading scorer and rebounder. Diaw thrives when Stoudamire isnt there look at last year he had a career year when Amare was hurt. So not having Diaw makes it difficult to replace Stoudamire.

For ever mentioned Raja Bells clothesline on Kobe Raja was suspended in that series.

But his points are always so important and at critical times. We must remember that.

The Mavs are playing the Longhorns in Kevin Durant's final college game. With the Horns early departure from the NCAA tourney...they've had a lot of time to prepare for this one.

The two biggest gutless teams in Texas will go at it on Friday night in Dallas at Reunion Arena!!!
