View Full Version : The Great 1925 silent movie Greed is coming to TCM in July!!

This is great news indeed. I have waited a long time for it. I found out it is going to be shown on July 15th Sunday starting at 11:15 P.M. and will conclude a few hours later at 3:30 A.M.

I checked the description and it said the 140 minute version but I am sure it is the 4 hour version based on the time line and is just a typo. This is a great movie and one to be seen.

I will be staying up that night to watch this movie and be sure it gets recorded properly. I will have a plan B with a relative that has another cable in case something happens to mine. I am not going to miss this opportunity.

This is one great movie that I have described before so I am so happy and excited as I am sure you are too.

And we thought that July was going to be a rough month especially since it is the last month before football.

We got the Tour de France that month and now a second chance to see the movie Greed!

You gotta love it!!

Does anyone remember the movie Angels With Dirty Faces. It was awesome, but I haven't seen it on in probably 10 years.

I sure do half. The one I remember is the 1938 movie which stars James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, and also Humphrey Bogart before he was a big star. Sometimes television shows a colorized version of it. TCM shows it sometimes. In this movie when Cagney and Obrien were teens they were thugs but one becomes a criminal leader and the other a Catholic Priest.
Also in the movie are the Dead End Kids who later became the Bowlery Boys in the 50s.
This is a good movie with a tough ending that is not conclusive.
