Region IV -- Track meet

Sinton advances 2 individuals, Bubba Heard in the 200 & Jenna Goyet in the 400 & 1 realy, the boys 800 meter relay. The boys won the 800 meter relay, Bubba came in 2nd in the 200 & Jenna came in 2nd in the 400. Sorry, I don't remember the exact times--it was HOT out there today.

Bubba DID NOT run in the 100 meter dash. He decided to be a team player & run in the 800 meter relay and as he is the anchor in the 1600 meter (which did not qualify for state) he had to choose between the 100 & 200, and he choose the 200. A kid from Fal won the 100 & the 200---that kid can FLY!!!

I believe the Ingleside girls (with 1st place in the 1600 meter relay) won the Region title!

Congrats to all the qualifiers & Good Luck at State!!

Port Isabel didn't fare well at all.

Iracheta re-injured his hamstring which led to a poor time in the 400 meters.

Erick Martinez also sustained an injury and could not run, because of that, it hurt Port Isabel's relay teams tremendously.

Overall, just a BAD day.

Tarpon fan I was looking for your guys, but with so much blue on the field I couldn't pick them out! They did false start in the mile relay. It is always awful to see that happen to a team.

And as the article states, Ingleside girls just missed out on 1st place!
