Brock Girls Basketball

Does anybody know what is going on at Brock that there girls Basketball team is such a power and who is the coach?

The head girls coach is Skip Townsend. He was at 5A Copperas Cove for 5 or 6 years before moving to Brock 2 years ago. He made it to the state tournament in the '97-'98 season but lost to Alief Elsik in the semis. He coached Sharika Wright (now starts for PowerHouse Purdue) as a sophomore. From the '98-'99 season until he left he lost to Mansfield in the Region Finals (Mansfield was pretty good though). On his '99-'00 team, all 8 of his seniors went to D1 schools, and 4 of them didn't even start.

Hope thats enough info for you. (I only know all this because my mom and dad are originally from CC and all the rest of the family is still there.

Thanks for the info, I guess the coach is a great part of the success. Skip has been around and been successful. Nothing to do in brock?

I don't even think they have a golf course.

Brock is strong in both guys and girls hoops..they are a 2A school but they don't play football...I am not even sure if they have girls volleyball...Brock has always been good in hoops..but lately they have been a very strong...it is just a basketball town
