I haven't even owned one pair of reeboks since maybe.....middle school or junior high. And the last pair of Nike's I had was for working out (only) in HS.

I like the simple shoes. I don't want all that flashy crap on my shoes. I don't need shocks, or any of that other mess.

I don't see the point in spending over $30 for a pair of shoes. But hey! That's just me.

The most expensive tennis shoes I bought were some Green Adidas Gazelles for $50 and that was because I had a giftcard.

And all of my chucks are always on sale. My one stars have all been on sale. And I got my Pony's for $20.

My daughter has a shoe fetish (not literally) and has a different color for every outfit she owns.

Give me a pair of solid white tennis shoes and I'm good.

I have a pair of Avia's that I have been wearing for the past 3-4 years, they are holding up well and still look brand new!!

Well, I hate to admit it RM, but I'm a shoe guy, myself, I have worn Jordans since Graduating from High School, and I'm sad to say I have every color, and every style that has come out since 1987, was the First in Marlin to wear a pair, and I have a lot of Dress shoes for work, all sorts of colors, Hope the fellas don't beat me up for this.

Ditto. I love having a pair to match everything.

I love having a diff. colored pair of tennis shoes, a diff color pair of dress shoes, a diff color pair of flip flops to match everything.

Oh, and then there are my docs. I should have mentioned those are the ONE AND ONLY pair of shoes on this earth that I will spend over $100 for. I don't anymore, but I used to. Now I wait til they go on sale and get them for like $30. I have had one pair of mine for over 10 years and they still look brand new. I had another pair for nearly 10 years that i retired a couple of years ago.

Thank god for all of the closet space we are inheriting with the new house. Poor Terry can finally have room to hang up his clothes.

It's weird that you have to wash them with soapy water to get them to be sticky....yet if you sweat on them, you lose your grip!

That's one good thing about the dry weather here...not much humidity to make you clammy!!

My daughter went through the phase where she thought she had to have every color "phat farm" shoe....after she had collected them all, she decided she really didn't like them that much afterall and gave them all away.

Now she just pretty much just sticks to Nike's and maybe an Adidas every now and then.

Thank goodness she buys her own shoes....or, I think, her b/f probably ends up footing the bill (no pun intended) for most of them....SUCKER!!!!!:p

:( I didn't have Vans when I was in HS, but I finally bought some when I was making my own cash. I had a pair of red ones (big surprise - RED is my favorite color) and green ones!!! :D:D:D

I never had a pair of Vans, but I did wear Top Siders a lot. Without socks, of course.

Here's a blast from the past....just about every little girl had these. I was actually looking for a different style though. They made them with a single strap up the middle between the toes.

I had a cute pair of white ones. Sadly, they weren't as comfortable as their jeans. :(
