Looks like some great competition coming at the state meet! A couple of examples:

Boys 100m qualifiers:
---------------------------
10.61 Shawnbrey McNeal, Madison
10.72 Cordero Gray, Kennedale
10.73 Skye Green, Sweetwater
10.73 Bill Lawhorn, Giddings

Boys 4x100m qualifiers:
------------------------------
41.59 West Orange Stark
41.98 Palestine
42.10 Madison
42.16 Sweetwater
42.45 Cuero
42.46 Kennedale

That's some pretty tight competition! I also know that both Madison and Kennedal have run sub-42's this season as well. I don't know about the others. I love to watch these races when they're close.

4x100 & 4x200 Relays should be very tight as well, for some of the teams have not been pushed as hard as they will be, at the state meet.......( HANDOFFS,HANDOFFS & HANDOFFS) will decide who gets the medals.

Was it Sanger that had such a hardtime with handoffs?? Whoever it was gave up the chance in 2 relays because of it!!

Hargrove ran really slow at regionals, he could very well take 1st in the 100 and not even have a top time...he got 2nd last year and had a bad start. Oh, and dont underestimate Wimberley or Cuero, our whole meet experienced slow times in comparison to times coming in. Region 4 will do good at the state meet.

wow what I meant about not having a top time was not having one coming in...now looking at it it sounds really stupid the way I phrased it.

You were correct with the statement that the times were all slow but they were the same way last year and the year before and we know how that turned out .

Region 4 will hold the rope .....Good luck to the Bandera Girls and the other representatives in Region 4 :D

why do you say ya'll when you and I both know who you are - you still have that red hoodie? remember people are creatures of habit - they write in certain styles and don't even realize it - sooner or later - the personality comes out - - and heck no, I'm not jealous of anything - I am proud of what the guys have accomplished - in all sports

The way I see it S.H. was given 2nd place by this 1 kid last yr. it will not be like that this yr. and add Bill Lawhorn to this yrs. race well Cuero your guy is looking at maybe a 4th place finish.

Stephon earned 2nd by finishing what he started nothing is given to you at this point of the season . Maybe the Green kid learned something from last year but that is a wait and see on that one . Good luck to all the kid's in Austin  to quote the great Jim Valvano "Dont give up ,dont even give up "
