Sinton always seems to be good at baseball.. what is the secret?? It seems like Gainesville has trouble building a good team, we always have good little league teams that compete well in district and region tournaments but when they get to h.s. its a whole different ball game it seems like.. Does your baseball coach also coach football??

Coack K has been the baseball coach since the late 80s/very early 90s. He is also the secondary coach for the football team.

I'm still waiting for them to update the rankings on the THSBCA site.

I got ya.. so conistancy within the program plus a strong winning tradtion has helped the team prosper.. Gainesville seems to spend all of its athletic budget on the football and basketball teams and as a former baseball player I can't tell you how disappointing this was.. I say be proud of you baseball team (as you and the other sinton fans obviously are) because alot of schools don't get that oppurtunity

The question remains, will anyone beat Carthage? 25-0 is VERY IMPRESSIVE no matter the sled they've played

I remember in 2003 when Lorena was undefeated going into the final against us. They beat us 3-2 on two unearned runs and a homer. One throwing error saved their undefeated season. It really can be that close among the final four. That year, all three games were decided by 1 run each, two of them in extra innings.

Sinton is 20-5-1, and Mathis is 22-4 (according to the Corpus paper yesterday). Sinton beat them Saturday 6-1 in a one game playoff to determine seeding.

There will be several teams welcoming the challenge. :)

There might be some better records coming out of District 21 if Jasper, Bridge City, Silsbee, and HJ were not having to play each other. In spite of that they still have some pretty decent records with all four in the top 20.

 A homer??????? I don't remember that. I remember a triple that broke the tie. I'll have to watch that game now. :(

oh and piratebg - I'm pretty sure Coach K does only baseball now

That is correct 66. The poll on the THSBCA site is back from the 24th and was posted then. I was waiting for an updated poll.
