Lauren Luetge had 19 k's in the game and went 4 for 5 at the
plate for Bellville. What a game for a great kid. Good luck in the
next round.

Diitto to that! Luetge was tremendous as was the entire Bellville team behind her in the field.

The Sweeny pitcher was fantastic also, she kept the Bellville girls off balance most of the night with change of speed and location. Sweeny played great and left everything on the field.

Congratulations to both schools an two exciting games and good luck to Bellville in the next round!

Next up for Bellville is Bridge City, sounds like the cardinals are the top ranked team state.

If I were the Bellville coach. I would try for a one game playoff.
It would be hard to beat Bridge City two out of three. Thoughts
and has anyone played them this year?

It will be very hard to beat #1 Bridge city. What is their record, and has anyone beat them, who?

Wow, they are the real deal. Good ole region 3, so many good
teams and only one spot at the state tournment. All of the games
from here on out will be hard fought. May all of the teams have
fun and enjoy each game , and win or lose, leave it all on the
field.

Bridge City was also highly ranked a couple of years ago and we(La Grange)run ruled them in 2 games, As I have said before the Softball ranking that Butch Hart puts out are not very acurate. Bellville will hold their own against the East Texas teams. Good Luck Bellville.

Good point, hook.
BC apparently is and has been excellent team. They usually do very well in early season and district. Appears their district is fairly weak though which seems to have hurt BC in playoffs in past.
Hopefully the strong district Bellville had to come out of with Navasota, Giddings and La Grange will help them hang with BC.
Go Bellville!
