As expected the Aggies won the men's golf point and .5 point for the softball game in College Station. The score is now Texas 8.5 A&M 7.5. Thre are only three points available coming on May 11 - 13 in Men and Women's Track and Field and then the baseball series on May 19 - 20.
Right now what I think will happen is this. I think Texas will get the Men's Track and Field point and A&M will get the Women's Track and Field point. That will make it 9.5 to 8.5.
That means it comes down to the baseball point. If A&M gets the baseball point then the series is tied at 9.5 each but since Texas won it last year they would retain the cup. If UT gets the point they win it outright 10.5 to 8.5.
It has been close this year. The Texas Women's tennis team won a close match over the Lady Aggies. If they hadn't done so it would be UT playing for the tie and the Aggies playing for an outright win.
