Can't really get mad at the boy at all for having sex with her. I would imagine the majority of the guys who use this board at one time or another had a teacher that they wanted to do something with when they were teenagers. :)

There is a teacher in this high school who has slept with MANY high school boys for the past 4 or 5 years. I am not for sure why nothing has ever been done about that!!!

He would be at the legal age of consent at 17 here.

I would think the school district would frown upon it, but I don't think law enforcement would get involved!

If it's a teacher-student, I don't think 17 gets you off the hook in Texas.

until the minor turns 18, he or she can only have sexual relations with
someone 2 years older.

In Texas it is illegal for a teacher in a public school to have sex with any student regardless of their age. This law was passed about 5 years ago.

I believe it is 3 years older. It goes back to the senior-freshman 3 year gap that exists in high school. At least that's the way it is in our county.

When my son was a freshman, he started dating a senior. She got pregnant late in the school year. There is about 3 1/2 years difference in their age. There were no charges and I don't think there could have been. This was 5 years ago.

He is 21 now and his daughter is 5. They got married last summer after the young lady (my daughter in law) graduated from Texas A&M. I am amazed that it is working out but it sure seems to be (thank goodness).

If I am not mistaken alot of states have a law agianst a teacher sleeping with anyone under 18

Texas Law states that there can be NO improper relationships regarding a teacher with any student regardless of age.

sometimes school districts will do that until the parents of the HS kid get involved....They might not like the paperwork involved!

I see where it would be against the law for a teacher to have sex with a student, regardless of the age.

FYI....the 3 year rule is only in play if one the "minor" in question is between the age of 14 and 17. After 17, while maybe not moral, it is perfectly legal.

Well, everyone knows the magic number is 17. When I was in high school my senior year, there was a 2 year 11 month gap between me and my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time. I buried my nose my dad's penal code book because my mother in law, who obviously was not my mother in law yet, didn't think all that much of me at the time. :D
