american idol has never interested me, so my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but-how are they 'giving back' exactly?

I'll probably get this wrong, or at least the details, but they basically got corporate sponsors to make donations per vote as well as individual monetary donations. I'm not sure what charities the money is going to, but it should generate a good deal of money. Of course most of the corporations could afford to do a lot more.

That was one of my first thoughts as well.

Tonight's show has been kind of depressing.

There's a lot of bad stuff in this world.

I dont watch Idol anymore, but tonight I made an exception because of all the stars that would be there. And I must say, Rascal Flatts sounded pretty good, but I wish they would have sang Bless the Broken Road...but in the spirit of donating they sang My Wish. Still sounded great...what did everybody else think?

It was sad, I teared up several times during the show!!:(

I thought the way they tricked Jordin (albeit a few seconds) to thinking she was going home was MEAN!!!!:mad:

I thought she had the 2nd worst performance of the night last night. I think she's a bit overrated. I think her style suits her well in that it leads a lot of people to think she is better than she is. There's really not much talent at all this year. At least I got to hear Kelly sing tonight!

Kelly sounded good.....I think she's put back on some of the weight she lost over the past few years!

I read a few weeks ago that Bon Jovi is supposed to be the Mentor on May 2nd....so that should be an interesting week!

i still aw when i see yamin.
