Big 12 Golf Tournament

It is starting today and will conclude tomorrow if weather permits. Also at stake is a big State Farm Lone Star Showdown point between the Horns and the Aggies. This should be very close with the Aggies being a slight favorite to get the point. Excitement indeed!

It is still very early in the tournament but as right now Kansas is in first place and tied for second one stroke behind is Oklahma State, Baylor, and Texas A&M. In fifth place just two strokes behind is Texas. Oklahoma State is a slight favorite to win it. It should be close and exciting indeed.

From the Big 12 web site after the first day (with one more day tomorrow) Oklahoma State is in first place with the Aggies in second and Texas in third. The Aggies and Horns are very close. It will take a great effort to catch Oklahoma State.

A&M's Trey Todd (from Abilene Wylie) was in 3rd place after the first round after shooting 71 but he is +8 after his first 9 holes of the second round. :(

Okie Lite is 8 strokes ahead of A&M...Texas is 3 shots behind the Aggies. Texas low man is already finished. A&M 2nd lowest guy is finished. Should be an exciting ending...

I didn't know how good Oklahoma State was. I expected the Aggies to edge out the Horns in a close one but they put the whippin on them and got the State Farm Lone Star showdown point. It is not Horns 8.5 A&M 7.
